Discovery Tours presented by Defender
Back for 2023, Discovery Tours presented by Defender are a chance for guests to enjoy an exclusive guided skiing or snowboarding tour of Thredbo. Uncover the best-kept secrets of Thredbo’s mountain, learn all about Thredbo’s iconic history and discover first-hand why Thredbo has been voted Australia’s Best Ski Resort for six years’ running with an expert guide at the helm.

Merritts Mountain Haus Feast
Ride under the stars in Australia’s Only Alpine Gondola to Merritts Mountain House to enjoy a Bavarian-inspired feast! The ride down is an unforgettable one with views of the Thredbo Village lights below.

Kareela Snowcat Dinners
Travel in style to the iconic Kareela Hutte on-mountain restaurant via passenger snowcat for a 4-course dinner and wine experience overlooking the lights of Thredbo Village below. A true premium experience that will take your Thredbo visit to the next level.

NEW | Dead Horse Gap Tour presented by Defender
Get a taste of Australia’s beautiful backcountry with maximum downhill riding on this half day tour. Be guided through the iconic snowgums of Dead Horse Gap and told about the history of the area. Learn basic backcountry safety and cruise down to a Defender that will take you back to Thredbo.
Dates: Thursdays through Sundays from 3 Aug – 10 September.
Kareela Supper Club
Take your Saturday night to a whole new level with the Kareela Supper Club! Ride the Gondola to Merritts Mountain House where your snowcat awaits. Travel across the mountain to Kareela Hutte to watch the iconic Thredbo Flare Run and Fireworks Show from the deck! Enjoy a champagne and canape package before your ride back down to the village.

Sunrise Sessions presented by Defender
Hands down, the best way to start an Australian snow day! Now cemented as Australia’s most iconic on-snow experience, we will take you above & beyond to enjoy sunrise at Australia’s Highest Lifted Point, an on-mountain breakfast accompanied with a mimosa, then score first tracks down Supertrail – Australia’s longest run.
Dates: Every Tuesday from 25 July – 29 August.
Intermediate to advanced skiers who are proficient at skiing or snowboarding Supertrail.
